        Sarcoidosis is a systemic granulomatous disease of unknown etiology which specially affects lungs.

        It's difficult to establish it at the first examination. In practice, the prognosis is determined by clinical and paraclinical monitoring of the parameters.

Sarcoidosis Evolution

These nodules are variable in size, slightly hard and reddish yellow. More rarely can occur lupus Pernio, resulting in purple patches on the face

        More specifically chest x-ray radiography is the capital of diagnosis. It is supplemented by bronchial fibroscopy, to perform a biopsy and bronchoalveolar lavage. Washing means you inject liquid into the lungs during the course of the fibroscopy. The liquid returns to the cells that are studied, and where different types are used to see an increase in the number of macrophages and lymphocytes.         Sarcoidosis is a relatively common condition of young adults. Its evolution in general can be favorable but in 20% of cases leads to complications like extra-respiratory problems.
