Sarcoidosis is an inflammatory disease that can affect almost every organ in the human body. The disease is responsible for an intensification of immunity. The immune system of a person who normally protects the body against infections and diseases, reacts in this case by creating excessive damage to specific tissues in the body. The classic feature of sarcoidosis is the formation of microscopic granuloma of inflammatory cells, that are grouped together (and take the appearance of granules, hence its name).

When too many of these are formed in an organ, they can interfere with the functions of the body. Deprived of oxygen and nutrients, the body can be damaged. Diagnose and treat early sarcoidosis can relieve symptoms, reduce inflammation and stop or minimize damage.

Desquamation of the skin (small drop flaps of skin).
Ichthyosis (skin covered with small fine scales).
Pruritus (itching).
Cyst bone and joints.
Troubles of cardiac rythme.

Polyneuropathy (infection or toxic disease affecting nerves and causing several problems and sensory disorders).
Infiltration and increased volume of salivary glands and lacrimal glands (Mikulicz syndrome, also observed in malignant myopathies).

It is therefore important to quickly assess the achievement of other organs using the following tests:

Cardiac examination and electrocardiogram (examinations of the heart)
Eye exam
Renal assessment (examination of the kidneys)
Neurological examination (examination of the nervous system)
